My client is an Indian-Canadian who has been in Canada for more than 20 years (I found out after meeting and chatting). We have known each other and worked together for several years.
In the past cooperation, every time he has a shipment, I will be informed in advance. I will follow up and update him on the shipping date and freight rates before the goods are ready. Then I will confirm the arrangement and arrange door-to-door service from China to Canada for him. These years have generally been smoother and more harmonious.
In March, he told me that he wanted to attend the Spring Canton Fair, but due to time constraints, he finally decided to attend the Autumn Canton Fair. So I continued to pay attention to the information of the Canton Fair from July to September and shared it with him in time.
Including the time of the Canton Fair, the categories of each phase, how to check which target suppliers on the Canton Fair website in advance, and subsequently help him register an exhibitor card, the exhibitor card of his Canadian friend, and help the customer book a hotel, etc.

It was not until about three days before the Canton Fair that I learned from a chat with a supplier with whom I had a good relationship that he had never been to the factory before. Later, I confirmed with the client that it was his first time in China!
My first reaction at the time was how difficult it would be for a foreigner to come to a strange country alone, and from my previous communication with him, I felt that he was not very good at searching for information on the current Internet. Therefore, I resolutely canceled my original arrangements for home affairs on Saturday, changed the ticket to the morning of October 14th (the client arrived in Guangzhou on the night of October 13th), and decided to take him around on Saturday to familiarize himself with the environment in advance.
On October 15th, when I went to the exhibition with the client, he gained a lot. He found almost all the products he needed.
Although I was not able to make this arrangement perfect, I accompanied the client for two days and we experienced many happy moments together. For example, when I took him to buy clothes, he felt the joy of finding a treasure; I helped him buy a subway card for travel convenience, and checked for him Guangzhou travel guides, shopping guides, etc. Many small details, the customers' sincere eyes and grateful hugs when I said goodbye to him, made me feel that this trip was worth it.

1. Understand the exhibition time and exhibition categories of the Canton Fair in advance, and be prepared for travel.
During the Canton Fair, foreigners from 53 countries including Europe, America, Oceania and Asia can enjoy a 144-hour transit visa-free policy. Guangzhou has a subtropical monsoon climate. During the Canton Fair in spring and autumn, the climate is relatively warm and comfortable. You can bring light spring and summer clothing here.
In terms of food, Guangzhou is a city with a strong atmosphere of trade and life, and there are also many delicious foods. The food in the entire Guangdong region is relatively light, and most Cantonese dishes are more in line with the tastes of foreigners. But this time, because Blair's customer is of Indian descent, he doesn't eat pork or beef and can only eat a small amount of chicken and vegetables.
