Crossing the Millennium Silk Road, Senghor Logistics company's Xi'an Trip Completed Successfully

Last week, Senghor Logistics organized a 5-day team-building company trip for employees to Xi'an, the ancient capital of the millennium. Xi'an is the ancient capital of thirteen dynasties in China. It has undergone dynasties of change, and has also been accompanied by prosperity and decline. When you come to Xi'an, you can see the interweaving of ancient and modern times, as if you are traveling through history.

Senghor Logistics team arranged to visit the Xi'an City Wall, the Datang Everbright City, the Shaanxi History Museum, the Terracotta Warriors, Mount Huashan, and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. We also watched the performance of "The Song of Everlasting Sorrow" adapted from history. It was a journey of cultural exploration and natural wonders.

On the first day, our team climbed the most intact ancient city wall, the Xi'an City Wall. It is so large that it would take 2 to 3 hours to walk around it. We chose to ride a bicycle to experience the thousand-year military wisdom while riding. At night, we took an immersive tour of the Datang Everbright City, and the bright lights reproduced the grand scene of the prosperous Tang Dynasty with merchants and travelers. Here, we saw many men and women wearing ancient costumes walking through the streets, as if they were traveling through time and space.

On the second day, we walked into the Shaanxi History Museum. The precious cultural relics of the Zhou, Qin, Han and Tang dynasties told the legendary stories of each dynasty and the prosperity of ancient trade. The museum has more than one million collections and is a good place to learn about Chinese history.

On the third day, we finally saw the Terracotta Warriors, which is known as one of the eight wonders of the world. The magnificent underground military formation made us marvel at the miracle of Qin Dynasty engineering. The soldiers were tall and numerous, with specific division of labor and lifelike appearance. Each Terracotta Warrior had a unique craftsman name, which shows how much manpower was mobilized at that time. The live performance of "Song of Everlasting Sorrow" at night was based on Mount Li, and the prosperous chapter of the starting point of the Silk Road was performed in Huaqing Palace, where the story took place.

At Mount Huashan, "the most dangerous mountain", the team reached the top of the mountain and left their own footprints. Looking at the sword-like peak, you can understand why Chinese literati love to sing praises of Huashan and why they have to compete here in Jin Yong's martial arts novels.

On the last day, we visited the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. The statue of Xuanzang in front of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda made us think deeply. This Buddhist monk who traveled westwards via the Silk Road was the inspiration for "Journey to the West", one of China's four great masterpieces. After returning from the journey, he made a significant contribution to the later spread of Buddhism in China. In the temple built for Master Xuanzang, his relics are enshrined and the scriptures he translated are preserved, which are admired by later generations.

At the same time, Xi'an is also the starting point of the ancient Silk Road. In the past, we used silk, porcelain, tea, etc. to exchange for glass, gems, spices, etc. from the West. Now, we have the "Belt and Road". With the opening of the China-Europe Express and the Central Asia Railway, we use high-quality smart home appliances, mechanical equipment, and automobiles made in China to exchange for wine, food, cosmetics and other specialty products from Europe and Central Asia.

As the starting point of the ancient Silk Road, Xi'an has now become the assembly center of the China-Europe Express. From Zhang Qian's opening up of the Western Regions to the launch of more than 4,800 trains per year, Xi'an has always been a key node of the Eurasian Continental Bridge. Senghor Logistics has suppliers in Xi'an, and we use the China-Europe Express to ship their industrial products to Poland, Germany and other European countries. This journey deeply integrates cultural immersion with strategic thinking. Walking through the Silk Road opened up by the ancients, we better understand our mission to connect the world.

The trip allows Senghor Logistics team to relax physically and mentally in the scenic spots, draw strength from the historical culture, and make us better understand the history of the city of Xi'an and China. We are deeply engaged in cross-border logistics service between China and Europe, and we must carry forward this pioneering spirit of connecting the East and the West. In our next work, we can also integrate what we see, hear and think into the communication with customers. In addition to sea freight and air freight, rail transport is also a very popular way for customers. In the future, we look forward to more cooperation and open up more trade exchanges connecting western China and the Silk Road on the Belt and Road.
